Terms of Service

These terms describe how you can use rtbcrid.com and what we both can and cannot expect from each other. The site is free to use, has no signup, and runs in your browser — these terms are short on purpose.

1. What this site is

rtbcrid.com (the "Service") is a collection of small client-side web tools for developers and ad-tech engineers, plus a blog of related technical articles. It is operated by a single individual reachable at ipaladin1993@gmail.com. There is no company, no team, no investors, and no signup.

2. Free to use, no warranty

You may use the Service for any lawful purpose, including in your job, for client work, in personal projects, or to teach others, without payment or attribution. There is no rate limit, no premium tier, and no API key.

In exchange for that, the Service is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The tools may have bugs. The output may be wrong in edge cases. The site may be unavailable. You are responsible for verifying that the output is correct before relying on it for anything important.

3. Your data stays in your browser

The seven tools on this site run entirely client-side. The text you paste into the ORTB Renderer, JSON Beautifier, URL Decoder, Diff, Escape/Unescape, Prefix/Suffix, and JSON-to-CSV tools is processed in your browser tab. None of it is sent to our servers. See the Privacy Policy for the full data-handling story, including what minimal analytics we do collect about visits.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

5. Advertising

The site is monetised by display advertising. A small banner near the bottom of the page is filled either by an ad exchange partner (via real-time bidding) or by Google AdSense as a fallback. The ads you see are not curated by us — they are auctioned in real time by the demand-side platforms participating. We don't endorse anything advertised. If a particular ad is broken or inappropriate, you can let us know via the email above and we'll relay it to the exchange so they can investigate the buyer.

The presence of ads does not change anything else in these terms. We don't share data about you with advertisers beyond what the standard OpenRTB bid request includes (page URL, viewport size, user agent, an opaque per-browser identifier; see Privacy for details).

6. Third-party content

The ORTB Creative Renderer fetches third-party VAST wrappers and creative resources at your request when you paste a bid response. Those resources are loaded inside a sandboxed iframe in your browser. We do not control their contents. If you render a creative that includes malicious JavaScript, the sandbox limits but does not eliminate the risk. Treat unknown creatives the way you would treat unknown JavaScript code.

7. Intellectual property

The source code of the tools, the styling of the site, and the text of the blog articles are owned by the operator and licensed to you only for the purpose of using the Service. You may not copy the code into your own site without permission. The OpenRTB specification, the IAB lists, and other industry standards mentioned on the site are owned by their respective organisations and used here under fair use for educational purposes.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes (anything that meaningfully expands what you agree to) will be announced via a notice on the homepage for at least seven days.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time by simply closing the tab. We can stop providing it at any time by taking the site down. Since there is no account and no paid relationship, there is nothing to formally terminate on either side.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland (the operator's country of residence). Any dispute that cannot be resolved by email will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Warsaw, Poland. Nothing in this clause affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the law of your own country.

11. Contact

For questions about these terms, the tools, the blog, or anything else, the only contact channel is email: ipaladin1993@gmail.com.
